Tetracyclines In Tissue LC-MS/MS Analysis Kit

Tetracyclines (TCs) are broad-spectrum antibiotics, widely used in animal husbandry for prevention and treatment of diseases and as growth promotion in food-producing animals.

Tetracyclines can be administrated orally through food or drinking water, parenterally, or by intra-mammary infusion.

Tetracyclines in meat potentially may stain teeth of young children. Allergic reactions and development of resistant strains of bacteria following the ingestion of subtherapeutic doses of antimicrobials are some of the hazardous effects.

Sample Preparation


  • Step 1
    Weigh 5 g of minced meat sample into a 50 ml polypropylene falcon
  • Step 2
    Add 100 µl of 5 ppm ISTD mix onto meat sample and vortex 10 seconds.
  • Step 3
    Add 5 ml of Reagent 2 and vortex additional 1 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Centrifuge at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Filter out from 0.45 µm RC filters,Directly inject into the system.
