Taurine (2-aminoethanesulphonic acid), a sulphur-containing amino acid, is found in most mammalian tissues. Although it can be synthesized from methionine and cysteine in the presence of vitamin B6, taurine can be obtained from the natural dietary sources. Step 1Dilute energy drink sample 10000 times by using water.

Step 2Transfer 100 µl of diluted energy drink sample in an HPLC vial.
